If you have visited a Gold Coast or Brisbane playground in the last twenty years, chances are one is the work of Harry Pearson.

Commencing his playground career at Man o War Playgrounds, where he learnt his craft, Harry Pearson was a pioneer in Queensland designer playgrounds specialising in timber, predominantly cypress pine.

With clients on the Gold Coast and Brisbane including private schools, public schools and local council playgrounds, his distinct playground designs used brown cypress pine posts with red caps. Harry is well known through the private school market and his reputation amongst the industry is second to none.

Harry Pearson playgrounds were built to last and many of the playgrounds built in the 1980’s are still standing now and in fantastic condition. Timber forts and cubby’s, climbing apparatus, swings, climbing walls were all part of Harrys repertoire.

Pearson Playgrounds has a distinct style where Harry’s personal stamp and branding are obvious, being hand built made of strong Australian materials. His team of Playground carpenters were highly skilled in building playgrounds to last.

Distinct from all other playground styles and materials, Harry Pearson was a man of vision, integrity who provided strong quality, natural playgrounds that thousands of children have enjoyed and still do to this day.

Although Harry Pearson Playgrounds is now closed due to retirement his playgrounds will long be remembered.
