The playground safety standards in Australia changed this year, prompting a review of existing playgrounds and compliance of new design and construction projects.
The playground standards, though not compulsory, are the set of industry guidelines that are used to design and build playgrounds which guide and inform school management decision making, in response to community expectations that schools will do all possible to keep children safe whilst playing.
